Overview

Two young people are trying to find something to do in a resort town in the middle of a cold, deserted winter. Alena works at the Jurmala office, and Eric borrows one hundred euros from her, which he promptly spends at a casino. The childhood friends may have been in love for a long time, but things are more complicated than they seem. One day, Alena shares her plan with Eric: she wants to leave the city in search of a better life.

How It Feels

Read from this film's synopsis, keywords and credits, and used to work out what it sits beside.

A quiet, observational portrait of two childhood friends adrift in an off-season seaside town, where unspoken feelings and the pull of escape create a gentle but aching tension. The film captures the small betrayals and tender moments that define a friendship caught between staying and leaving.
