Overview

Here and Elsewhere takes its name from the contrasting footage it shows of the fedayeen and of a French family watching television at home. Originally shot by the Dziga Vertov Group as a film on Palestinian freedom fighters, Godard later reworked the material alongside Anne-Marie Miéville.

How It Feels

Read from this film's synopsis, keywords and credits, and used to work out what it sits beside.

A radical collage that cuts between Palestinian fighters and a French family watching TV, asking urgent questions about how images construct reality and who gets to tell stories. It's as much about cinema itself as it is about geopolitics.
