Lingering Tides

Overview

When Penghu is remembered only for its beaches and fireworks, where do the stories of everyday life and memory go? In the alleys of Magong, a small bookstore chooses to slow things down. Through walking tours, local markets, and grassroots actions, it invites people to reconnect with the place. What we document is not just a bookstore, but those who are willing to speak, to walk, and to stay. Culture is not something merely preserved—it is remembered through action.
