Overview
In 17th century England, Mary Villiers molds her beautiful son, George, to seduce King James I, intending to gain riches and influence through outrageous schemes.
How It Feels
Read from this film's synopsis, keywords and credits, and used to work out what it sits beside.
A boldly stylized dive into 17th-century court intrigue where a scheming mother and her complicit son weaponize beauty and desire to climb toward absolute power. It's trashy, ambitious, and unapologetically celebrates queer desire while anatomizing how intimacy and manipulation become indistinguishable.
