Overview

An eccentric French opera singer living in St. Petersburg reaches the final round of a prestigious vocal competition at the Kremlin. But to gain recognition, he will have to do more than simply win: he must decide whether he is willing to trade his freedom for the conventions of the state-run cultural scene.
