Overview

Lucy is eleven years old. Having been neglected by her estranged mother and father, she is placed in a children's home. Through her eyes, we follow her struggle to cope with the system; her only saving being her self-belief and certainty that she is being watched over and protected by the holy spirit.

How It Feels

Read from this film's synopsis, keywords and credits, and used to work out what it sits beside.

An unflinching portrait of childhood neglect and institutional failure told through the eyes of an eleven-year-old girl clinging to spiritual belief as her only anchor. Difficult but compassionate, it sits with Lucy's small acts of defiance and resilience amid systemic indifference.
