His passion for film took root among the shelves of the video store 'Die Cassette' in Hildesheim, where he worked for several years before starting his formal education. Following practical experience at Nestlé and 'Das Werk' in Munich, he studied Film Editing at the Film University Babelsberg 'Konrad Wolf'. Since his debut with 'Preußisch Gangstar' (Berlinale 2008), he has edited a wide range of projects - from independent films like 'Must Love Death' to the award-winning short 'Nullpunkt', for which he received the Best Editing award at the European Film Festival in Paris.
