Miryam Charles

Director, producer and cinematographer Miryam Charles lives in Montreal. She has produced several short and feature-length fiction films. Her first art-house short Vole vole Tristesse (2015) tackles the theme of social struggles. Winner of the Prix de la meilleure œuvre d’ art et expérimentation des Rendez-vous Québec Cinéma, this film introduced Miryam Charles as a filmmaker. This was followed by several experimental shorts exploring the same themes: Towards The Colonies (2016), Une forteresse (2018), Drei Atlas (2018) and Second Generation (2019). Well-received by critics and widely shown on the international festival circuit, his long first feature-length documentary (on the borderline between experimentation and fiction) Cette maison (...
