Biography

Luca Pereș-Bota (1997) is a Romanian-Belgian director and editor working between Romania, Belgium, and the Czech Republic. He grew up between Romania and Belgium and graduated with great distinction in Film Directing from RITCS (Brussels). His graduation short Dincolo (2022), a fictional portrait of Romanian labour migration, received a Special Mention at Filmfestival Oostende and was selected at FilmFestival Cottbus. He completed a Master’s in Film Editing at FAMU in Prague in 2025. The first collaboration with Nikol Urbanová as co-creators was FLOWERBOYS (2024), which was selected at the Berlin XPOSED Queer Festival and Art200 in Bucharest.
