Pavel Štingl

Pavel Štingl (1960, Prague) graduated from the Department of Documentary Film at FAMU in Prague. His graduation film Naučit se bát (1985), set in the world of young doctors, won numerous awards and set the tone for one of the main themes of his work. In the early 1990s, he began a long series of major political documentaries from the countries of the former socialist bloc, which were honored at numerous festivals (for example, it won a prize at Academia film Olomouc). In 1995, he founded his own production company, K2, where, as a producer, he produced several documentary series and a number of large-scale co-produced documentaries.
