Yukiko Takayama

Yukiko Takayama (高山 由紀子 (たかやま ゆきこ) (Takayama Yukiko), April 4, 1945, Tokyo, Japan - June 2, 2023, Tokyo, Japan) was a screenwriter and film director of Japan. The eldest daughter of Japanese painter Takayama Tatsuo. After graduating from Faculty of Literature, Keio University, studying movie screenplay. In 1975, her own work was adopted as a competition screening for a new Godzilla movie screenwriter for scenario school students by Ishirō Honda, and the screenwriter debuted in "Mechagodzilla's Counterattack" (known internationally as "Terror of Mechagodzilla").
