Sherine Abdel Wahab

Shereen is an Egyptian musician who was born on the 10th of October, 1980 in the Al Qal’aa (The Citadel) district of Cairo. As a child she wished to grow up to be a doctor or a nurse. However she did not realize that goal as she grew interested in the performing arts from an early age and was encouraged by those around her who insisted that she had a nice voice. At the age of 13 she began singing at weddings which were either those of her relatives or other people living in her neighborhood. Her talents were then discovered by producer Nasr Mahrous and she thus presented her first recorded song as part of an album which included works by other artists.
