Biography
Brazilian producer based in France, Marco Tulio Pires holds a dual degree in Film and Audiovisual Studies from Fluminense Federal University in Rio de Janeiro and Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. He began his production career at the Audiovisual Department of the French Consulate in Brazil. In France since 2017, he worked on several development projects before joining Les Films Pelléas, where he supported short films for the Paris Opera’s 3e Scène, notably "Hidden" by Jafar Panahi, "A Night at the Opera" by Sergei Loznitsa, "Degas et moi" by Arnaud des Pallières, and "Hypno" by Marie Amachoukeli. He then continued at Les Films du Bal, joining the production team on several features, including "Dahomey" by Mati Diop, Golden Bear at the Berlinale...
