Chronicle is one of those films that sort of flew under the radar upon its release, but you've either heard of or seen it. I saw it in the theaters year ago, and was immediately blown away by how incredible it was. The characters are fantastic, with the film giving ample amount of time to let us learn about them, and the storyline was well-executed.
In the film, we learn of three now-friends who gain superpowers after touching a meteorite in a remote field. What ensues is a lot of action, laughter, and, eventually, decline. Having superpowers seems fantastic, if your life is going well, but one's unstable family affects the trio's plans, and it all leads downhill.
Overall, Chronicle is a must-see, but don't expect a follow-up anytime soon.
Setup: It was great to revisit Chronicle after some time. The found footage aspect really is the big draw here, which works well with LG OLED in Perfect Black. For a film that has a lot of shaky camera moments, they blended well together.
