To start off my #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days challenge, I chose Keep Watching as my first film. Did I make the right decision? No, according to most of the reviews on Letterboxd, but there were a parts that I enjoyed.
For starters, the cast sucks. Bella Thorne and Chandler Riggs put on a lackluster performance, gloating around until the action kicks in, and then just strut around inside their home while masked killers prey upon and record them. The premise is great (at first, I thought it was going the Mockingbird> route), but then turned into an Unfriended: Dark Web/The Deep Web: Murdershow mix (I enjoyed both of those films). It doesn't really work, and the ending was unsatisfying.
I know my short review above may have you question the three stars I gave it, but they're for the premise and creativity. I love a good home invasion flick, but when technology is mixed in, it adds more excitement.
