When a film begins with its ending, you feel as if it has been spoiled for you. This is not the case with Last Straw, although we do see the aftermath of what looks like one helluva night (of terror).

While there was one interesting twist, the film delivered on what could've been a complete bloodbath, instead opting for minimal-style kills and thrills. Still, as a fan of home (and now diner) invasion films, the diner setting proved to be beneficial for its sake, but there was so much weaponry that could've been used to fend off the intruders, resulting in a a not-so-bloody-bloodbath. What made up for it was the acting and dialog, because it didn't feel forced, just natural.

Beautifully shot in an open, small town area in the middle of nowhere, my LG OLED TV's Perfect Black made us feel like we were there within the film.

Final thoughts:
Pull over and stick around for awhile.
