<i><b>Skinamarink</b> </i>is a found footage film, but it’s not a found footage film. However, it’s creepy and effective throughout, complete with questioning camera angles and moments where you look into the darkness trying to find a clue (but there isn’t one, is there?).
With very little dialog (if there is, it’s hard to hear most of the time) and no character development, our main character is the camera. The stationary shots throughout (minus the last few parts of the film) piece together a story, which is, at times, confusing and weird as you try to figure out what is really happening, and then the film ends.
<i><b>Skinamarink</b></i> gets high points for being one of the strangest films I’ve watched this year, and while I may give it 3/5 stars, I’m looking at other reviews for an explanation.
