i've only ever seen birdman from inarritu, i really liked it.
babel is also not that bad, it is interesting in its idea of communication but that communication never evolves beyond its idea and by that i mean that multiple relationships are present but there isn't much we know about any of them which makes it all feel weak in the end.
i still liked a lot of individual moments but while its themes of communication and language are fine, it never really delves deep.
brad pitt gives a good performance and you can really see how tired he is now when compared to something like this.
rinko kikuchi, said tarchani, Boubker Ait El Caid and Mohamed Akhzam are especially standouts and its a shame most of these people haven't appeared in much from what i know off because each of them helps the film convey its message, from fear to teenage life in different parts of the world.
