Allot can be said about black dog.
The cinematography is great, the performances are great and the atmosphere is amazing.
The film does go on for to long and doesn't know when to end but I highly recommend to watch this.
Black dog, for me is a movie about finding your place in the world and Happiness aswell. The titular black dog is a scrawny and pretty thin dog.
From the moment you see the dog you know that it could die at any moment.
Lang, the main character however takes him in and a bond blossoms.
Overall the town looks pretty deserted. It looks old and out of fashion. Empty.
That creates a sort of somber tone from the get go.
The movie is pretty tragic and a real gut punch. It's story is not amazing, its actually very simple but it didn't need to be more then that.
