Easily raimi's worst.
Raimi is capable of shaping great movies under a big studio but no one is safe from Disney.
It happened so many times with them but they hire a known or upcoming direct with at least 1 good movie under they're belt and washes away all of the style and substance they once had and raimi is no different.
Oz the great and powerful is the story of wizard and oz but with James Franco.
so like the only thing Franco is chosen for is sleeping with his students and he was chosen by himself.
The film genuinely looks ugly as shit and some scenes look really just unfinished. It's just really apparant that this film is made 90% with green screens because it looks awful.
The characters are not likeable or anything and the story is the the standard oz story if it sucked ass.
Maybe one of the worst blockbusters ever released?
