authoritarianism is a word i only learned of today because of this film yet i understood it very deeply.
authoritarianism disguised as communism. the confession is a fascinating political drama that no so much is a courtroom drama but a drama about the manipulation of the court outcome.
i don't know a whole lot about communism so i am maybe missing crucial details yet the film portrays our lead with not neccesarily 100% sympathy but curiousity about the innocent and the authorital need for confession, they keep pushing and pushing until they get their way.
i do know that commmunism has an emphasis on freedom yet non is given.
