Other than the basic premise, the rest wasn't what I expected at all. I had seen it described as a horror film a few times, and while I can see horror elements, I don't think it truly got there.

This would be a stronger movie if it was just the story of Anya Taylor-Joy's character in the sixties trying to become a single or Thomasin McKenzie's character coping with her mother's suicide by pursuing fashion in London. I liked both halves enough to give this 3.5 stars and say it's worth a watch every few years, but squishing the stories together was a little messy.
