an interest film but it generally i found myself unbothered with what was going on screen and its more so interesting for the parts that are the usual takashi miike affairs. i don't care for anything going on that much and as someone who can be invested in takashi miike's flashy blood and sexual images....this is fairly decent yet not much more then that even tho that flashy blood and sexual images are still good. i also really liked the cast. the 2nd act is especially dull even if its not entirely bad.
generally the main problem is that the cast, while fantastic ultimately do the heavy lifting, while its screenplay i would say is good in a lot of area's, it also leaves a lot of characterization too the actors and not everyone succeeds while they are good.

How It Feels
Read from this film's synopsis, keywords and credits, and used to work out what it sits beside.
A stately, ritualistic samurai epic that builds from quiet sacrifice toward a climactic battle of operatic scale. This is a film that honors its characters' choices even as it explores the weight of duty and the violence required to prevent greater violence.
