Alien: Romulus

Allot of style and substance but i say its fanservice definitly holds it back a little and the fact the cgi for a dead actor btw, is grossly bad.
The mouth looked like the mouths that are on the annoying orange at one point.
But it definitly is a strong film, its greatly directed and i like half of the cast, the other half is oke.

The much-anticipated <I>Alien: Romulus</i> is sure to razzle and dazzle fans both old and new. With a sleek story, beautifully designed sets, practical effects, and one particular familiar face, this is a pleasant, yet frightening addition to the 40-plus year old franchise.

Set between the events of <I>Alien</i> and the absolutely perfect <I>Aliens</i>, the prior's story is a focus here, but not <B>the</b> focus, although we learn of the previous film's events through a reliable source. The face huggers are so well-crafted and animated here, their presence onscreen is a terrifying welcome to what the film will eventually evolve into, which is a dark, alien-infested mess that takes down character after character, some in welcoming ways and others in a not-so-pleasant manner. This is an <I>Alien</i> film, and viewers will be pleased with how this it fits well between the two mentioned above in order to fill the <I>Alien</i> storyline.

Overall, viewers will be pleased with the aliens' (Xenomorph) creature design and set structure, especially after the <I>Aliens</i>' set that gave a glimpse of how they colonized the ship. The same is done here, but not as great. The cinematography paints it as a dark abyss, almost parallel to the David Fincher-directed <i>Alien³</i>. It's not a complaint, but rather a compliment as it adds to the experience. Still, we'd like to get a better visual on those magnificent sets.
