I like two characters in this and non of the rest.
The story honestly was interesting in the beginning but after that it was not that fun to follow.
The villain is also not that good tbh

Anna Paquin and James Van Der Beek??!!
I'm not an expert on robots in film, but the ones in Iron Giant and Wild Robot look quite a bit like this one... Maybe there are only so many robot designs.
Similar to Nausicaä, the art is very pretty, and the general vibe is super relaxing. I fell asleep again, so it took me a few sessions to get through the whole thing. I guess I find the Miyazaki universe calming. They're like lullabies on film.
The overall plot didn't really hook me. I think I just prefer scoundrels, because all of my favorite parts were Dola and the pirates. "All good pirates listen to their mom!" I also liked the robot and Muska's little tie. Sheeta and Pazu were fine, but they're the least interesting part. Wholesome teens in the middle of a caper?!
