I enjoyed it more this time around. It is still a VERY stupid movie, but going in with lowered expectations helped.
Cripes, that was boring!
I knew this wasn’t going to be a cinematic masterpiece, but this wasn’t even fun.
Fight scenes where predictable and boring, Kong Jr was just annoying, and the damn soundtrack was atrocious!
Godzilla's new accent color is pink?! Hi Barbie!
As a casual Godzilla/Kong fan, I went into this just wanting to have a good time, and it is definitely a fun theater watch. It struck a good balance between the humans the monsters. It was light on Godzilla and very Kong heavy, but I prefer Kong so that's not a deal breaker. There is some very heavy Planet of the Apes imagery. Kong is an ape so maybe that's hard to avoid, but some shots could be directly from a POTA movie.
