Olivia, a Franco-American writer, returns to her ancestral village in the south of France to write the story of her grandmother, who fled Paris during the Nazi invasion during World War II. There, she meets Madeline, a talented local artist, who quickly replaces her grandmother as the face of the novel. As a number of strange coincidences ensue, fiction and reality intermingle uncannily, and Olivia starts to ask whether she's part of history's unfolding story, or vice-versa.

How It Feels
Read from this film's synopsis, keywords and credits, and used to work out what it sits beside.
A gently metafictional romance where a writer chasing her family's past finds herself enchanted by both a place and a person, until the line between what she's imagining and what's real begins to blur. It unfolds like a literary puzzle wrapped in French countryside charm.
