While it tips its toes into race, its not the whole films and honestly for what it is its fine if not mediocre.
Robert deniro gives a fine performance.

Hi, Mom!
God bless our humble upper-middle-class high-rise co-op and keep it free from smut peddlers, militants, urban guerrillas and Greenwich Village liberals.

Vietnam vet Jon Rubin returns to New York and rents a rundown flat in Greenwich Village. It is in this flat that he begins to film, 'Peeping Tom' style, the people in the apartment across the street. His obsession with making films leads him to fall in with a radical 'Black Power' group, which in turn leads him to carry out a bizarre act of urban terrorism.

How It Feels
Read from this film's synopsis, keywords and credits, and used to work out what it sits beside.
A darkly comic fever dream that pairs paranoid voyeurism with 1970s radical politics, colliding the mundane anxieties of a Vietnam vet with satirical jabs at cultural panic and extremism. It's a provocative, deliberately offensive romp that feels like a fever dream accidentally wandered into a documentary about urban decay.
