I got this on Blu-ray for my birthday yesterday so now it can enter my rotation of teen comedy comfort rewatches.
Lisa Frankenstein feels so 80's, like Tim Burton was thinking a lot about Heathers and was inspired to make a teen rom-com horror blend. I love it. Also why wasn't Kathryn Newton allowed to bring some of this energy into Ant-Man & the Wasp Quantumania?
The trailer makes it look like Lisa is literally crushing on a corpse and resurrects him. She actually has a crush on a living classmate, and independent from that, the creature is accidentally resurrected. That doesn't make it any less weird of a concept but it feels like an important distinction.
