I always found mother to be a strange picture in bong's filmography, like its good but not great despite it all being there.
The script is great, the deep meaning behind it is really good but its kinda hard to emotionally connect with it.
I like mother herself and the casting is genius for multiple reason but what really bugged me is how agonizingly slow this film is and how the mystery is not that engaging.
I still like the characters and kinda the story but the pacing ruins it for me kinda.

probably a hot take but i didnt like this one as much as the previous bong joon movies,it all comes down to the fact that the mystery is not that exciting to sit threw 2 hours, tyhe characters, character interactions and cinematography are still great but most of the revolves around the mystery and i didnt care for that most of the time.
there is a jojo's bizzare reference tho, that was sick.
