Rango is a beautifully animated film starring mr. Depp.
The title character, rango is written with allot of charm.
He's funny and depp's voice fits the character very well. Its just everything around it is a mixed bag. Beans is a pretty decent character, bouncing off rango in multiple ways that leads to great comedy effect.
My main problems really are the fact that i don't really like the story, i don't hate it and its better executed then most films that use the same sort of structure but its still not remarkable at all. And second of all, the antagonists.I remember when allot of people were hyping up rattlesnake jack but like....he's very one dimensional.
The mayor has allot more depth but he has minimal screentime as an antagonist. Its kinda sad when the Hawks have a more threatening presence then both of them.
I really like the animation, its great and its realistic but not to an annoying degree for an animated film.

When Rango, a lost family pet, accidentally winds up in the gritty, gun-slinging town of Dirt, the less-than-courageous lizard suddenly finds he stands out. Welcomed as the last hope the town has been waiting for, new Sheriff Rango is forced to play his new role to the hilt.

How It Feels
Read from this film's synopsis, keywords and credits, and used to work out what it sits beside.
A wildly imaginative Western that blends spaghetti-Western pastiche with genuine existential questioning, filtered through the lens of a lizard pretending to be braver than he is. It's a film that plays as rollicking adventure on the surface while wrestling underneath with who we are when we're forced to become something we're not.

Reviews
I love Rango's animation. I just can't get into the story. It sort of feels inspired by movies like No Country For Old Men, which I do like, but maybe not as an animated movie.
