One of the rare times I wish a movie was longer.
Saturday Night wasn't what I expected, in the best ways. It reminded me of Birdman in the way that it made me feel like I was walking through the halls and floating between rooms and conversations. The leads captured the essence of who they were playing. Lamorne Morris was the standout because I already love him. Ella Hunt was the biggest surprise.
I've only seen her in Anna & the Apocalypse, and every time she was on the screen as Gilda I found myself focused on her. I didn't know Matthew Rhys and JK Simmons were in this, so those were exciting surprises.The only thing that really took me out of it was that Lorne looked like Murr from Impractical Jokers, and I couldn't stop thinking about it.
