Split is thrilling, teetering into horror just enough to sustain the suspense. James McAvoy and Anya Taylor-Joy both absolutely crushed their roles.
James McAvoy has always been Mr. Tumnus and Professor X to me, so this was a surprise. He was chilling (the scary adjective, not the relaxing verb). Anya Taylor-Joy portrays deep trauma heartbreakingly well, especially with her eyes. I think the scene behind the rock could have been removed or done differently though.
