Stand by me is great.
Its leads are sympathetic and i really like the fact most of the adults in this are dickheads.I can see myself in some of these events, i don't have the same friends as i did 4 years ago, I look at those years with nostalgia and wanting to get those friendships back.

After learning that a boy their age has been accidentally killed near their rural homes, four Oregon boys decide to go see the body. On the way, Gordie, Vern, Chris and Teddy encounter a mean junk man and a marsh full of leeches, as they also learn more about one another and their very different home lives. I'm a 90s gal, so Now & Then is my Stand by Me.
Stand by Me is a timeless coming of age story about four 12 year old boys looking for a dead body, which doesn't sound like it'll be a heartbreaking and emotional tale about friendship, but it is.
The last line is such a gut punch: I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?
