Overview

A Chinese woman in her fifties moves alone to the U.S., chasing an American Dream postponed for three decades. As she struggles between freedom and obligation, her pursuit reveals the quiet contradictions of migration—where sacrifice and obsession blur, and one woman’s journey reshapes the filmmaker’s own.

How It Feels

Read from this film's synopsis, keywords and credits, and used to work out what it sits beside.

A intimate meditation on delayed dreams and fractured loyalties: watching a woman reckon with what she's built versus what she gave up to build it. The film is as much about the filmmaker's reckoning as it is hers, turning a personal migration story into something universally aching.
