I'm not religious, but maybe I would consider it if Amanda Seyfried was the leader and we did dramatic choreography every day.
The Testament of Ann Lee is very satisfying visually, especially the performances during the musical numbers. They were hypnotic, and the songs always felt like an organic part of the story, like it made sense for them to be singing in that moment.
The pacing felt a little strange to me. At times it felt like we were racing to get through Ann Lee's entire life, checking off a box for a scene in every place she lived instead of getting to *live* in that place with her.
