Tokyo Fist

i loved this film, its editing and music style makes it feel like a live action arcade beat em up but with somewhat of an actuall story.
basicallya bussines man believes an old friend and his fiance are having an affair.
allot happens in the short 1 hour and 27 min but i think the tight runtime bennefits this film.
the reason why kojima hates tatsu is because they wittnesed they're friend get murdered, making an oath to train in order to fight but after highschool tatsu forgot about it.
for me tatsu represents people who aren't stuck in grief, survivors guilt or any thing like that.
something clearly traumatizing happened to both of them but tatsu doesn't make that control his life but kojima is stuck in that moment, he hates tatsu for not keeping his promise.
its kinda reasonable but if you think about it, who would want to be stuck in that same horrid memory?
its reasonable for tatsu to move on because they already expressed they're grief.
this all also is linked to toxic masculinity, thinking you can suddenly better yourself with your rage.
kojima is full of rage and thats shown in great detail.
