TRON: Ares

grok, elon musk robots, pedophiles and a few characters didn't return.

thats what went wrong with tron ares.
while joachim and cinematographer jeff cronenweth do use some cool slow camera movements, the cinematography is very bland.
arguably and easily the worst film in this very mediocre franchise.

the acting is fine, the script is bland and boring and while the vfx for the most part looks decent, the action is very artificial.
it really does feel like a movie made so that disney has an excuse to finally get rid of tron. it doesn't feel like a movie passionately made.
i will forget about this film the next day.

A solid 5 out of 10 for me. Not a bad film, but a stupid one. Mindless action film, which can be a good thing and a lot of fun, and this one almost crosses that line. 
Poor script and questionable direction. Hate when the characters feel the need to remind us of the plot or continually tell us what they are doing while doing the things they have been told that they need to do while doing that thing.
Could almost be a direct sequel to Tron rather than Tron:Legacy, and looks great, as did the last film, but in the end it is all flash and no real substance, much like the last film.
