Filipe Barbosa

Filipe Barbosa is a filmmaker based in the eastern outskirts of São Paulo, Brazil. He holds a degree in Social Communication (Radio and Television) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). In 2018, he founded Cine Social Club, a traveling film collective in São Paulo’s East Zone dedicated to screening films and fostering discussions on issues that shape everyday life in the city's peripheral communities. He directed the short film Fluxo – O Filme (2024), which was officially selected for more than 30 film festivals in Brazil and abroad.
