What bugs me the most is how white centric it is despite BEING about racism and for that racism to be so obvious, cartoonish. This film was made like two decades ago so its expected for it to be dated.
It fails to see what racism actually is, it thinks its JUST people spouting slurs or racist remarks but its also in everyday normal conversations, it creeps into corners a lot of people don't realize. Crash has its sights on some types of racism but its always so painfully dry and it doesn't help how unfocused it all felt, having multiple stories happening at the same is neat but the screenplay is flimsy and can barely hold the weight of that concept.
Some of its night scenes do like nice but the day scenes look extremely bland and forgettable. Everyone involved feels kinda tone deaf.
Smaltzy in the worst ways.
