How It Feels

Read from this film's synopsis, keywords and credits, and used to work out what it sits beside.

A scrappy, pulpy survival gauntlet that embraces its low-budget schlock with darkly comic energy. It's less concerned with realism than with delivering cheap thrills and creative kills across an escalating series of death traps.

If you're a fan of The Running Man, the classic Arnold Schwarzenegger film based on the 1982 novel (under Stephen King's pseudonym Richard Bachman), Arena Wars is an almost exact reimagining of it, but with a much lower budget, eye-rolling one-liners, and gladiators in over-the-top costumes who are truly asking for an (easy) ass-beating (as they're drowning in too many items that should make them immobile). It's terrible and mostly unwatchable at times, but it's always great to see Michael Madsen pop up in a film.
