Basically the original film but with a new coat of paint.
Bugonia is very strong in its visuals and lead performances and the dialogue is strong but still to similaire to the original south korean film to feel needed.
Overall i think this is not as bold as the that one or it falls into the same trap most american remakes of asian film in where bits are to similaire for it to stand out.Teddy's whole arc is lifted straight out of the original just with some extra unnecessary lanthimos glitter.
I do like don tho.

The montage at the end lasts longer than I expected, and I was weirdly into it.
Before watching this, I felt like Emma Stone's character would certainly be an alien. While watching it, I changed my mind a half dozen times. It will be interesting to watch it again now that I know.
