How It Feels

Read from this film's synopsis, keywords and credits, and used to work out what it sits beside.

A delirious blend of slapstick comedy and genuine unease that laughs at conspiracy thinking while making you deeply uncomfortable. It's a film that commits fully to its premise, that a well-meaning true believer might become a villain, without winking away the moral weight.

hillarious and unique in its commentary on humans and our planet.

while corporations do inflict so much, be it to animals, plants or humans themselves, our main character blames his own tragic life on it.
i think the best part about it is that he is right, he says the right things but WHY he says and does things is a bit more morally complicated.
shin ha-kyun gives a great central performance and it is Jang Joon-hwan feature debute so not every scene flows aswell as it could've but what rough edges the film has, don't matter because the other parts are great.

its a compelling drama but also a unique tale on performative enviromentalism. the ending is silly but i ultimately think it works as it still in line with what the film represents. lee byeong-gu is right but right because of the wrong reasons.
i watched this because (sigh) yorgos lanthimos is releasing a remake soon and i'll probably watch it but im not looking forward to how he's gonna justify its existence because there is a high chance it will just be his usual "weird" style and this original korean feature is weird but its more focus and unique in its style of weird then anything lanthimos has made.
