nihilistic, brutal but an honest portrayal of certain aspects of us humans and revenge.
nobody is entirely "good" in this tale, some are just foolish, some are bad and there are those who are truly evil.
the way this movie makes you root for gengobe and twists the story like its easily snapping someone's neck, is pretty cool.the film in its black and white glory looks stunning. its blood, framing and ability to use the camera excellently is amazing.
arguably one of the best horror movies i've seen. it should be up there with perfect blue and the thing imo.
