at least in honey, don't margarat qualley's voice is not annoying to listen to.
this and its new companion piece are ethan coen trying to find his missing piece and its funny because the two films have the exact opposite problems with a few similare ones in between.
the other has a pretty decent story and the other has a shitty one.
one has good cinematography and the other not so much(except for when it heavily uses lighting effects for some reason)drive away dolls has a pretty good performance from its lead(s) and the other only has like 1.
both still have lazy written characters. i still don't know what happened between the two coen brothers but get them back together and fast.
not to say ethan isn't a good solo director, he is but its clear he doesn't know what to do half the time BUT......i do hope he makes a third solo feature in this sort of cornetto/vengeance trillogy style films and prove me wrong.(also watch my newest film https://boxd.it/aKMnNv )

Reviews
Historically I am not a Coen Bros fan*, but I thought Margaret Qualley, Geraldine Viswanathan, Beanie Feldstein, Colman Domingo, Miley Cyrus, Pedro Pascal, and Matt Damon would outweigh that. I was wrong, it did not.
The trailer presents it as a buddy-comedy/crime flick. This was pretty light on the comedy and pretty light on the crime part. It was more like the post-American Pie teen comedies of the 2000s (Eurotrip, Sex Drive, all the American Pie's that don't have any of the original cast), but with less jokes, and every now and then a scene with some criminals that felt disconnected to the rest of the movie.
* Exceptions: Raising Arizona, Big Lebowski, Fargo, True Grit
