I was expecting something a little different. The poster and the plot summaries all sort of center on Amy Adams starting to turn into a dog, so I thought this would be more like a Yorgos movie. When dog moments pop up, other than her playing dogs with her son, I thought "Oh right, she might be turning into a dog." There just wasn't a lot of follow through on those things. She had eight nipples, or did she? I don't really know.
If I take all the dog stuff out, it's a solid drama about motherhood. If I put the dog stuff back in, I want more of it. Let's go all in.
