I've seen Soft & Quiet a handful of times. Each time I see it, I love it even more, even though the content is disturbing.
Beth de Araújo's debut feature film is full of amazing performances, great direction, and a story that makes you think about your surroundings in a sinking world full of fear. Each character seems likeable at first, but then true motives are shown, and we are exposed to something deeper and darker than imagined.
Soft & Quiet is not a horror film, but it punches you in the stomach at the end, leaving your jaw wide open and out of breath. Seriously, it will leave an everlasting mark on you

This film took a dark turn really fast. Go in blind, and then take in what you just watched. It's a fucked up, incredible film.

How It Feels
Read from this film's synopsis, keywords and credits, and used to work out what it sits beside.
A real-time descent into nightmare where ordinary spaces become suffocating, and the potential for violence hangs over every interaction. The film traps you in a confined social scenario and refuses to look away as civility collapses.
