(Don't ask me how i came to this conclusion)Watching both trainspotting films made me realized that I'm not a good person. Nobody is.
Even when trying to improve, we fall into shithole after shithole.
Does it sometimes get better? Sure.
But I think allot of us have issues until the end. For example I'm lazy, egotistical, I take money from my mother and I lie.
But we do what we can to live a life we weren't asked to live.
I qeustion existence everyday but that's what art is for. Coming to terms with what we are but I also trying to find an escape.
The film itself is good.
These characters are still interesting. They are characters you can root for but also people you understand have problems that still need to be fixed.
These problems don't go away at the end because that's not how life works, not every problem gets fixed even before death.
This is not the definitive theme of the film but its how I look at it.
Live is not as simple as that.(Also watch my newest film I guess My review of shadows scare me on Letterboxd https://boxd.it/9XU0h7 )

How It Feels
Read from this film's synopsis, keywords and credits, and used to work out what it sits beside.
A sharp, unflinching look at what happens when old friends reunite after two decades, carrying the weight of their shared past and addiction. Bleakly funny and deeply human, it finds both tragedy and dark humor in the struggle between who people used to be and who they've become.
