Welcome to plot contrivance theater!
Oh, boy… where to start?
The script was so silly and directed even more so.
So many scenes felt like rehearsals or auditions rather than something in a finished film.
Poorly directed, laughably acted, and terribly miscast.

The Happening

A relentless survival thriller where an unexplained environmental catastrophe forces a couple to flee into the countryside, their dread mounting as the threat remains mysterious and increasingly surreal. The film favors atmosphere and escalating wrongness over conventional scares, making paranoia feel palpable.
