Read from this film's synopsis, keywords and credits, and used to work out what it sits beside.

A sharp, darkly comic slasher that uses the collision between transgressive filmmaking and rural puritanism to create genuine dread. It's a genre-aware film with real stakes and characters you come to care about.

X is a pretty good modern slasher. I actually preferred the first half before the killing started. The anticipation and build up was really effective. Once it flipped, the deaths happened in pretty quick succession. It lost a bit of the impact, but aside from that imbalanced pacing, it was solid.

PS: I love Brittany Snow
